This song intro, Fighting Shadows, was filmed beside a sugar maple I planted in memory of my brother—a man who struggled, just like so many of us. These benches I’m sitting on are part of that tribute. But this moment, this music, is for more than just one man. It’s for anyone who knows what it means to face the darkness or struggles with swinging at shadows of the past.

There’s a line in the song that says:

“What once was shame is now Your song.”

That’s the heart of this video. That’s the heart of this channel. God doesn’t waste pain—He repurposes it for redemption.

So if you’ve felt unworthy, too broken, too far gone—this is for you.

You’re not alone. There is still hope.

And if you’ll let Him, God will take your shadows and make them part of His story.
